“Pick your activity – Barbados will deliver! Blue skies, white beaches, turquoise waters and great conditions make for the quintessential Caribbean holiday!””Our specialist, Joe | Email Joe
The very best location on the island in which to base yourself for a watersports trip is Silver Sands. Located on the southernmost tip of the island, just 15 minutes from the airport in a quieter part of the island and only a 15 minute taxi ride away from the vibrant nightlife of Oistins and St Lawrence Gap.
Here the breezy weather makes it a hot spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing while the sun-drenched, palm-adorned beaches and translucent waters make for a relaxing stay. The south and east coasts have some world class beaches for kiting, surfing and windsurfing, and with fantastic wind conditions most days the hardest decision you’ll have to make each day is which beach to head for!
The vibe here is decidedly laid back with locals happy to share a little bit of their way of life. So, when the sun goes down, the strains of reggae music can be heard from afar as locals come out to eat, play, dance, drink their local rum and socialise long into the night, with whoever cares to show up!
There is an abundance of fine restaurants nearby that offer traditional and continental cuisine. The wide range of dining options available ensures that there is something to suit every taste and budget.
