Corralejo in the north of the island, about 45 minutes from the airport, offers superb windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions at two main spots – Flag Beach and Cotillo.  Whilst the wind and sea conditions make this part of the island better for intermediates and free riders, beginners can be taught offshore from the centre’s support boat.

The town itself is a typical holiday resort with a selection of hotels, apartments and private villas, as well as plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Although the main strip is touristy, the older part of the town which is centred round the harbour and the main square, is quite attractive with some great little tapas bars. There is a small sandy beach right in town and a water park on the outskirts which families can enjoy.

In the Canaries, you will find that a car is really handy if you want to get the most from your visit here. Fuel is cheap and the roads are excellent, making it very easy to explore and find some of the very best kite and windsurf beaches in Europe.

Our main centre is in town with the beach just a a few kilometres away so if you would prefer a break from driving it is easy to hire bicycles to get around town and down to the beach.
