“Epic kitesurfing with great waves, a laid back vibe and friendly locals in this more secluded spot make this a quite unique experience.”

Famara in Lanzarote is a charming non-touristy village with a classic surf vibe. It comprises numerous white-washed houses with blue doors and shutters and has a spectacular backdrop of high cliffs. With 5 kms of windswept beach, this is a great place to hang out and enjoy some of the Canary Islands’ best kitesurfing and surfing.

Famara nights have a chilled atmosphere with stories of the day’s kitesurfing wafting around. There are ten or so restaurants with fresh fish, tasty pasta and juicy steaks all available. Two late night bars with live music, tapas and great beers stay open till late into the night. For those that want to party on then head into Arrecife or Puerta Del Carmen with its many bars and clubs!

Due to its unique secluded location it is best to rent a car to enable you to get around and discover the beauty of the surrounding area.
