Windsurfing in Cabarete has something for everyone with a combination of a sand bank and reef protecting the inner bay and making it ideal for learning and freestyle. Slightly downwind you will find waves for your first efforts at waveriding.
The windsurf centre is in the upwind section of Cabarete Bay, just a short walk from most of the hotels, apartments, bars and restaurants.
Kitesurfers and windsurfers have separate zones for their respective sports, so will not get in each other’s way.

Centre, Courses & Kit
The Centre
The centre is beneath shady palm trees and offers a cosy chill out area overlooking the ocean. It is only 50 metres from the shore in a wind-protected area, thus allowing windsurfers to start directly from the centre. In this part of the bay the shore break is more forgiving and so it is easier to launch and land your kit. The centre is fully equipped and staffed by a team of international instructors who will be happy to get you started on the right path or help you complete that dynamic move that may have been evading you.
