Located on the west coast of the Red Sea, Hurghada, once a fairly small fishing village, has become a busy modern town and one of the main tourist destinations in Egypt.

Located on the west coast of the Red Sea, Hurghada is the largest resort in this area and is also home to the airport that serves our other resorts. once a fairly small fishing village, has become a busy modern town and one of the main tourist destinations in Egypt.
Being the most established resort means that, in addition to the excellent kiting conditions that it has always served up in spades, Hurghada also offers a host of alternative activities to keep everyone amused. Because of this it is an excellent option for families where not every member of the group wants to kite or windsurf.

Hurghada is home to a selection of hotels and beachfront resorts as well as several watersports centres. Our hotels are all within a short walk to one of the two kite centres that we recommend.

The resort itself runs for approximately 35km of the coastline both north and south of the airport. The best kitesurfing conditions are down in the south, where it is slightly windier, and also boasts a collection of sandbars offering up super flat shallow water, even hundreds of metres out to sea.

Nightlife in Hurghada either centres around each hotel resort, each of which organises a variety of entertainments throughout the week, or, for an altogether bigger night out, head up to the Marina, where you can enjoy great food, live music and party into the dawn at one of the big nightclubs.
