The Kitesurfing

The kitesurfing in Ras Sudr is just amazing anyway and with our new downwinder programme it is definitely a kitesurfing destination not to miss. Located on the north eastern shores of the gulf of Suez, Ras Sudr is one of the windiest locations on the Red Sea. The variety of conditions on offer is fantastic,  you can experience small waves, mirror flat water in hidden lagoons and classic bump and jump conditions, all with the safety back up of the centre RIB.

Paradise – this is our favourite beach as it is a long and sandy bay with shallow water, calm to choppy water and cross on winds from the right. Unlike at Greens, at low tide you can kitesurf directly in front of the centre.

Paradise is also the best place to start a choice of epic 5, 10 or 20 km downwind rides for a truly memorable experience. You will head across the bay shredding small waves and then enjoy the most perfect flat water around the headland. As you enter the estuary, unbelievably, you will encounter even flatter water, and from there freestyle the lagoons – priceless!

Greens & Ramada – this well known spot is 20 minutes downwind from Paradise and has the calm and shallow sea typical to Ras Sudr. Here, however, the tide really affects the kitesurfing zones resulting in a long walk in soft sand to the water’s edge at low tide.
