Diani beach is an exclusive holiday resort with 5* hotels, stunning palm lined beaches and superb kitesurfing for all levels. The beach is wide and long, the sea is shallow for a good 50 meters and the reef is about 500 metres from the shoreline - at low tide the sea conditions are a calmer and ideal for those learning, while at mid to high tide the reef kicks up a good size wave.
Diani has two wind seasons; the Kaskasi and the Kuzi. The Kaskazi winds provide reliable conditions from December through to the start of May when it blows 10 -14 knots in the morning, providing perfect conditions for beginners, going up to 16 – 22 knots of side-shore warm trade wind by early afternoon. The only limitation will be your stamina!
The Kuzi monsoons of June to September blow a stronger wind, the reef kicks up a much bigger wave and although the weather is cooler (24 – 28°C), the strong winds make this an excellent time to kitesurf.

Centre, Courses & Kit
The Centre
Our partner centre has a great station set up at the ‘Forty Thieves Bar’ directly on Diani beach, and also a satellite centre on Galu Beach, a 20 minute taxi ride away. Boris and his team of international, English-speaking instructors can teach you everything from the absolute fundamentals in the beginner course, to water-starting and power control techniques for the intermediates, not forgetting coaching for advanced riders.
