“A true paradise island – Mauritius offers incredible conditions, with both waves and flat water, reliable winds and top notch accommodation – this isn’t just a place for honeymooners!”

The world known kitesurfing and windsurfing spot of Le Morne sits in the south west tip of Mauritius. Although there are several spots in Mauritius our focus is Le Morne Peninsula, as it delivers the most consistent wind conditions and has a beautiful waist deep water lagoon that caters for all levels of kitesurfers and windsurfers.

Just over an hour from the airport, Le Morne is home to our partner centre which is set dramatically at the foot of Le Morne Brabant Mountains on a sandy beach, fringed by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. This is a perfect setting for beginners looking to learn kitesurfing and for those looking to learn new tricks.

Getting around Mauritius is handy by taxi but remember to agree the price beforehand! Alternatively rent a car as this can be inexpensive and quite safe. Do remember, the road is used by locals to transport a wide variety of goods and livestock so the driving can be slow and sign-posts can be a little hard to find!

For the non-kiters, Mauritius has lots to offer. Tour the island; see the sugarcane plantations, the falls at Chamarel and the islands dramatic scenery and diverse architecture. Visit the bustling capital Port Louis, famous for its flea markets, restaurants and shops. For the more active, take a snorkelling trip, swim with dolphins in Tamarin Bay or simply relax on one of the miles of sandy pristine beaches.

So come and discover your little piece of paradise!
