Situated on the Western edge of the Sahara desert, deep in the south of Morocco, This unique kiting spot lies to the east of a 40km peninsula on which Dakhla town itself is located. The largest flat water lagoon in our programme, which, in the summer months is one of the most consistently windy places in the world. Make no mistake – Dakhla is a very, very special place.

Warm temperatures year round and constant winds make Dakhla a great place for learning and advancing your kitesurfing and windsurfing skills. More advanced freeriders can take a day excursion out to the wave spots on the Atlantic side of the peninsula, serving up a host of uncrowded perfect right handers.

Our accommodation is situated in two areas of the lagoon, with a wide range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets, from the more modest (but fantastic value) tents through to fully air conditioned bungalows set in pretty gardens scattered along the shores of the lagoon.

Dakhla has yet to (and is unlikely to become) a major tourist destination. The term ‘hidden gem’ is often used in the holiday trade, but in the case of Dakhla, it is the perfect description!

Food at the camp is bountiful and tasty with lots of fresh fish, salads and traditional Moroccan tagines and couscous to sample. Evenings are a low key affair as most people simply relax around the bar area and re-live the excitement of the day. Quite often the banter continues late into the evening over a few beers under the Saharan stars.

Due to flight connections you may have to overnight in the colourful city of Casablanca before catching your internal flights to and from Dakhla.
