With an atmospheric old town offering a choice of restaurants and tapas bars, Tarifa is a vibrant resort. After a full day on the water, discuss the day’s sailing with friends old and new over a cerveza or two. Explore Cadiz, Ronda or Gibraltar or drive down to historical Cape Trafalgar.
During summer time the dominating wind is the Levante blowing from the east (cross off-shore from the left), in autumn and spring it is the Poniente blowing from the west (side-shore to cross on-shore).
Car hire is recommended in Tarifa as there is no resort transfer per se, although a bus service runs three times a day. Malaga is approximately 90 minutes away by car and Gibraltar 30 minutes. Flight time is just over 2 hours.

Centre, Courses & Kit
The Centre
There are two centres to windsurf from, the more westerly of which offers tuition for beginners in the shelter of a large bay. Intermediate and advanced sailors can sail from either centre on cutting edge kit with a shuttle bus between the two. Kitesurfers and windsurfers have separate zones for their respective sports so will not get in each others way.
The centres are fully equipped and staffed by a team of international instructors who will be happy to get you started on the right path or help you complete that dynamic move that may have been evading you.
