This relaxed and cosy French-run property is, in our opinion, one of the best places to stay in El Yaque. Whilst it is a 5 minute walk (150 metres) from the beach front and village centre, this is more than made up for by its stylish, comfortable rooms, lush garden and pool area. Set back from the beach, it is in a peaceful location and offers a high standard of service with daily cleaning and towel changes. A delicious continental breakfast with pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs and juices is served from a raised breakfast terrace with stunning views out across to El Yaque beach. All rooms are en-suite, have air conditioning, fan, fridge and either a balcony or terrace. In addition there are a number of rooms with a small kitchenette area (American rooms), and two apartments with full kitchens.

The Casa Perla is a gem of a place to stay. It’s clean, small and friendly, with newly decorated, fresh-feeling rooms and breakfast area. It is located just off the main street that runs parallel to the beach, and so is in a very central position for both the restaurants and the beach. There are 8 spacious twin, double and triple rooms that are all en suite with air conditioning, fan, fridges, TVs, balconies and security safes. The property is spread over 3 floors, with a lovely breakfast room with stunning views at the top.

Casa Viva is a family run, funky and casual hotel right on the beach front, and in the centre of El Yaque village. It has a selection of comfortable and colourful rooms, including two spacious apartments (sleeping 4 and 6 people). This is where the popular Sharks bar and restaurant is located (open all day), which is well known for its delicious cocktails, excellent fish and speciality themed nights.
